I was finishing a very productive driving lesson last night and on the way back out of Bletchley I noticed a man ahead of us on a bike. I started to ask my pupil how she was going to overtake him and where. Just then from a left side road a car entered our road at the same time as the man on the bike passing that entrance. The man on the bike swerved into the middle of the road to avoid being hit by the car.
At this point I was very surprised for I did not expect the car on the side road to enter for they had a clear view on approach, also I was surprised for the car was a learner car.
What happened next was also dangerous, for the car started to drive along the road with two wheels on the grass verge and two wheels on the road while the man on the bike rode at the side of them waving at the car in horror.
The man on the bike took the lead and the learner car followed close behind. I asked my pupil when is a good place to over take the man on the bike. At that point the learner car ahead of us started to overtake the man on the bike, but they were overtaking on a bend. Sure enough a car came round the bend in the other direction causing the learner car to swerve back into his side of the road narrowly missing the man on the bike again.
This all took place in the matter of a couple of minutes. It was like watching a video on how to drive dangerously.
Lucky for the man on the bike and the pupil in the learner car, no one got hurt on this occasion.
My pupil was happy that she was not being taught by that learner school.
Over the last month all my pupils who took the driving test have all passed first time ( 4 in total) , I do have a few available slots if you were thinking about driving lessons or are not happy about your current driving school.
I am more than happy to answer any of your questions.
Thanks

Paragon Driving School is still going from strength to strength. In the last couple weeks I have the company logo put on the car and it looking great. I have added a step by step guide on the website of how to do parallel parking with a video as well, I plan on adding a drop down page from the menu bar for each of the manoeuvres.
I’ve also added an ADI Franchise page. This is a long term plan so I’m not actively advertising yet, but I though as I’m now having to turn down pupils why not put it out there and see what happens. Ideally I’d like to be higher up the rankings before actively advertising, hopeful this won’t be long.
As for the rankings all areas are progressing. My immediate areas are doing the best, Wandsworth, Earlsfield and Southfields but the one I’m working on the most is Wimbledon as this is getting a lot more searches.

BACK TO DRIVING.
Its not far off September, then its back to school/college. If you have been putting off driving to enjoy the summer then great. But if you want to pass your driving test before Christmas then September is the time to start back.
You will be surprised how much you can remember. You could be a pupil who has taken a break to pass the exams or someone who just wants to pass and is following my posts. You could start with an assessment lesson to see where you are and to discuss a plan of action to pass your driving test. Or someone who has not driven before.
Thanks
James

Yes that is right. It took Rachel Byrne 25 hours to pass her driving test first time. I have to say that Rachel is the exception. Most learners pass at about 45 according to the D.S.A.
My average at Travis School of Motoring is about 38 hours to pass. Some pupils will pass in less hours and some in more hours. That all depends on the learner for everyone will learn at different rates of progress. But, there is one thing for sure. When my pupils are ready they will be good, safe drivers for life.
I have put a photo of Rachel on the photo gallery page of my web site for all to see.

Well done Rachel,
Enjoy the driving.

It costs more to park a car at the airport than a plane, a new report shows from Auto Express. The Manchester Airport study looked at 10 of Britain’s biggest hubs and found their short-stay car parks so expensive that it would be cheaper to park a light aircraft.
