Some instructors offer a lower overall price when several driving lessons are paid for in advance. A block booking can be convenient, but compare the complete arrangement rather than the headline discount.
Questions to ask before paying
- How many lessons or hours are included, and how long is each lesson?
- Does the package expire, and how often can lessons be booked?
- How much notice is required to cancel or rearrange?
- What happens if the instructor cancels, changes vehicle or stops teaching?
- Can unused lessons be transferred or refunded, and are any deductions made?
- Will you receive a receipt and written copy of the terms?
Consider starting with one or two lessons before paying for a large block, so you can decide whether the instructor and teaching arrangements suit you. Keep receipts, booking messages and the terms you agreed.
